Ye Olde Republic Podcast for Star Wars MMO

The guys at DWP have started a Star Wars The Old Republic podcast called YE OLDE REPUBLIC and they contacted me to provided the logo, podcast graphic, and other collateral. The basic idea is an avatar…I like the idea of the multi-arm idea of MMOs. Simply put people choose to become one of many classes in game, so the multi arm avatar symbolizes this with the main character holding different weapons to symbolize the different classes (Jedi, Sith, Trooper, Bounty Hunter, Smuggler, etc)

I created a knock out look for easier printing for swag and other stuff. Also I used a blue and red background on the podcast logo to symbolize the Sith and the Republic (don’t want to play favorites )

Fire Fallin’ Logo for upcoming DWP Podcast

Brent at good old Dead Workers Party commissioned a logo for a new podcast they will be kicking off for FIREFALL the upcoming free-to-play shooter. I have not yet received a beta key but I signed up so here’s to hoping. Enjoy!

Core Elements Podcast & Poster

The ever busy Dead Workers Party has another podcast underway. It is called “Core Elements” and will focus on gaming as a whole ( read not only video games).

Wes Wilson over there asked for a poster to be drawn up with a turn of the century tinkering feel. I got to do this in the Art Nouveau style, which was great fun to investigate. Art Nouveau has alot to offer though it seems to be passed up buy the more familiar Art Deco and propaganda style posters of the early century. Also for part of this was a logo .

“Penny Dreadfuls” for Blackbird Theater’s production of “Magic”

Two buddies of mine and past Trailer Trash Talk podcast co-hosts have been on wild and exciting theater rebirth in nashville. They have partnered with local Lipscomb University to bring back “The Thrill of Theater” to Nashville. The upcoming show “Magic” will be a foray into one of the works of GK Chesterton. Blackbird asked me to do a series of “Penny Dreadfuls” news pulp serials int her 1800′s style for email updates to evoke the style and tone of the era the plays takes place as a teaser for the play. The show looks great so far! “Magic” is to be held in the Shamblin Theater, University of Lipscomb, at 7:30 on the evenings of August 12 & 13, 19 & 20, and 25, 26 & 27.

HCA Caring for the Community Campaign 2011

IT’s that time of year again for the HCA Caring for the Community Campaign!! This year’s theme is SuperHeroes. I wanted to approach the branding in a stoic and idealistic approach. Also the agencies that help the community are the real Heroes and we come along side them as sidekicks int he community.

In Nashville there is a tall skyscraper that locals have dubbed “The Batman Building”. I worked its silhouette into the overall design for collateral. Also I used silhouettes and a basic shapes to down play the silliness that could be associated with Super Heroes and focused in on more the ideal concept of heroics.

Trailer Trash Talk reboot

We might try to see if we can reboot Trailer Trash Talk on Random Chatter. Here is the new logo I came up with with. A garbage can with film reels spilling out. It was done with pencil and ink. I think it has the appropriate level of grunge. Now to see if the podcast will take off

HaverSassery

HaverSassery – The modern haversacks for ladies with baggage!

This is a logo I did for Brent Copeland) – DWP, The Shaft podcast host, Control Point podcasts host’s wife’s new Etsy shop.

Its a satchel shop named HaverSassery which is a play on the word haverdash and the style of bags but with a modern twist. Keep an eye out for haversacks everywhere!

Abba’s Way New Website

Abba’s Way is a website that seeks to encourage, educate and equip fathers to engage with their children. They do alot of cool father son outdoor retreats and helpful writings to inspire dads.

I did the full design and implementation for their look and feel based on the logo work I did for them earlier. They wanted an outdoorsy feel with a sense of legacy and tradition. The worn book leather and earthy fabric textures warms up the site and makes it feel worn, aged, and a well of wisdom from dad’s to sons. At least that’s what I was going for

It’s my PHILANTHROPY game!

For our 2010 Caring for the Community campaign they wanted to do a play off of MONOPOLY with the title PHILANTHROPY. Essentially they liked the Mr.MoneyBags character but, in my mind he stood too much for greed and not community involvement. Enter his children, who are more community aware, or something like that.

Each mark represents a playing piece of sort in time, talent, treasure, etc. These will be used in t-shirts, collateral, etc.
