There has been a lot of charity activity going on at work, which of course is a good thing. The next one up is a simultaneous chess match. A renowned chess champion, CHALLENGES all HCA Nashville-based employees in a SIMULTANEOUS chess exhibition versus 100 people. Pretty cool concept, and so the poster was born. I designed it as a companion piece to the golf poster collateral I did recently.
This year’s theme was 1964 kitschy world’s fair. This was also the first All Hands for our new CIO, Marty Paslick. We transformed the Belmont arena into a trade show floor with bistro seating, tall bannered booths, a chalk board walk of history, a large flagged grand entrance, 1964 era training video, stylized stage design, and even featured local coffee brewers tastes of Nashville. The video from the event can be seen here on YouTube.

We did so many pieces of collateral for the 2012 All Hands Meeting for HCA IT&S. The theme was 1960’s worlds fair and the kitschy style that goes along with it. This is one of the many I did, the pre-show presentation. Enjoy!
This is a teaser poster and other collateral I did for our company’s golf outing. The idea is to maximize the impact the imagery can have on an already busy and crowded cork board. Hopefully the simplicity and clear imagery will be more readable. The idea is to use typography and simple imagery. I had fun experimenting with the font typefaces and mezzotint coloring solution.
For our company’s All Hands meeting we are doing retro 1960’s world’s fair theme. Part of the design projects for the venue are 6 large chalkboard WALLS of PROGRESS celebrating the history of technology. These will stand 8 feet tall and are being illustrated in actual chalk. This is the one of the series I did.
The theme for the HCA 2012 Caring for the Community Campaign is Space:Above and Beyond. Here is the multi stage variants of the badge logo that an astronaut might get for their mission (think Apollo 11 missions). The best part for the design was figuring out how to make it look stitched like a real badge. I ultimately figured it out in Illustrator and kept it all vector. Pretty cool stuff.
This year also marks the first social media foray for the campaign. Check out HCA CFCC on Facebook.
We are currently working on a refresh, rebrand, and relaunch for InterMedHx. This site is slated to be launched in January.
